heroics

Cloud never tries to be the hero, but he always ends up doing it anyway. He never sets out, telling himself "I'm going to save the world today" or "I'm going to inflict some righteous justice". When Rufus speaks to him in Advent Children, spinning a manipulating and sugary web, Cloud looks hesitant. He does want to help. He's considering working with Shinra, a corporation that took nearly everything from him, if it means helping. Unfortunately for Rufus, Reno's mention of rebuilding Shinra seems to snap him out of this.

Overall, Cloud is just a guy. He's got a few issues, though he lives and copes with them. He could use some practice making conversation, he needs a swift kick in the butt every once and a while. But he's made of tougher stuff than most people, and he puts both his mental and physical strength to good use. He doesn't want to stand out anymore, he doesn't want glory. He just wants to live his life in peace after fighting and clawing his way through it for years.
